AWARD WINNING SAN FRANCISCO BREWERY ‘SOCIAL KITCHEN AND BREWERY’ HIRES VISUAL ARTIST TURNED CHEF ANDREW GREENE
Monday, March 21, 2016 - San Francisco, CA - Social Kitchen and Brewery has recently brought Executive Chef Andrew Greene onboard to advance their food program to the same gold medal caliber the craft beer brewed on site has become in the past 6 years. Chef Andrew is known for his creative pop up dinners around the city and will be bringing that same energy to Social. Andrew’s education and background as a visual artist later transpired into the kitchen, leading him to opportunities as Executive Chef of Troya in the Fillmore, and a favorite of Naked Kitchen’s pop up dinners in the Mission.
“My plans for Social are to simply create food that matches the caliber of our beer. Our Brewmaster Kim is a mad scientist and together I think we can do something special. I am really excited to bring a new menu to the guest's table and to get our monthly Brewmaster Dinners up and running again.” - Executive Chef Andrew Greene
Along with some changes to the menu, customers can expect to see the return of Social’s ‘Brewmaster Dinners’ originally put in place by Social’s first Brewmaster and Master Cicerone, Rich Higgins. The monthly dinner event will feature unique dishes that will be paired with a handpicked selection of brews by current Brewmaster Kim Sturdavant, and allow guests a fun and unique experience with both the kitchen and the brewery. A new brunch menu has already been put in place, and changes to the dinner menu will be launching in April.
With Chef Greene creating dishes with unique flavors that pair well with the beer, and Brewmaster Sturdavant at the helm crafting award winning brews, Social Kitchen and Brewery is settling their roots in the city as a craft beer destination for locals and tourists alike.
