San Francisco Independent Artists Week

Infin8sync will host SF’s inaugural Independent Artists Week from Sept. 7-13 to highlight area talent. The weeklong celebration will showcase artists ranging from musicians and filmmakers to fine artists and fashion designers through a series of informative and entertaining events. Activities will be held at various venues throughout the city with each day dedicated to a specific art medium.

Festivities kick off on Sept. 7 with an opening celebration at Harputs Market, culminating on Sept. 13 at the 2nd Annual Music ‘n Film Conference. Below is a breakdown of the day-to-day events.

Sept. 7: Opening Celebration Party Harputs Market, 1527 Fillmore St., SF CA 94115 8 PM – Midnight

Sept. 8: Press Conference & Keynote Press Conference — 10 AM Keynote & Panel Discussion 6 PM-8 PM SF State Downtown Campus,835 Market St. Rm 609, SF CA 94103 Listen as one of the pioneers of hip hop answers “What is Independent?” Then join in a discussion about the state of Independent Art.

Sept. 9: SF Film Society Screenings — 11 AM – 7 PM Yella, Sundance Kabuki Cinemas 1881 Post St., SF CA 94115

Get Sync’d – Music Opportunity — 9 PM Poleng Lounge, 1751 Fulton St. Two artists will have an opportunity to record at Red Bull Studios! Submit TWO tracks to www.getsyncd.ning.com

Sept. 10: School Zone — 10 AM – 2 PM AAACC, 762 Fulton St., SF CA 94102 Unite with us as we bring ARTS education to local high school students.

Go Green — 6 PM – 9 PM Live Art, Bay Area performances, food, drinks, and ‘green conscious’ vendors.

After Party, Mixtape Wednesday — 10 PM Skylark Bar, 3089 16th St., SF CA 94103

Sept. 11: Bring Your Own Art: Work! Harput’s Market, 1525 Fillmore St. SF CA 94115 Fashion Workshop AND Live demonstration and, of course, LIVE Showcase in an EGO FREE environment.

Sept. 12: SF Film Society Screenings — 11 AM – 7 PM Wind Man, Sundance Kabuki Cinemas 1881 Post St., SF CA 94115

Stonesthrow Party — 10 PM Mighty, 119 Utah St., SF CA 94103

Sept. 13: Music ‘n Film Conference — 12 PM – 4 PM SF State Downtown Campus, 835 Market St. SF CA 94103 Filmmakers and musicians: writers, producers, directors, etc. exhibit their skills while all other facets of the arts come together to show how they are very significant in the film and music industries.

Happy Hour Panel Discussion — 5 PM – 8 PM “Your Film – My fest, Your Music – My Conference, Your Art – My Showcase”
