spread love 006 – DJ Phatrick
If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve seen numerous DJ Phatrick references… so I guess it’s a bit redundant to feature him in the “spread love” segment, but he’s one of my favorite DJ’s, and happens to be my cousin! (we found out last summer - cousins thrice removed through marriage, something like that…) Regardless of our family history, DJ Phatrick is a fresh DJ hands down, and puts in hella work and love into the Bay and the artists he works with. Finally, after MONTHS of me bugging him about starting a blog (I seriously was annoying, even if he didn’t tell me that.) he has arrived!!
Why you need to be up on this…? cause music blogs put out HELLA tracks, mixtapes, remixes, etc., and have become borderline SPAM with all the stuff they post. DJ’s however, filter through the garbage and are the next best thing to radio airplay for an independent artist… and I trust Phatty’s opinion, you should too.
If you want to know what’s crackin with that good Bay Area (and beyond), Hip Hop (it ain’t all hyphy folks…), chances are DJ Phatrick has his hand in it, so don’t sleep!!
